Has The Iranian President Played His Cards Right? The Israeli View

My favorite off-topic subject, Iran, refuses to get out of the headlines. I said in earlier posts, that the Iranian President is no madman, but I do think he played his cards wrong. He got a few things going on for him, among many, the classic European impotence when it comes to calling on sanctions upon Iran. It appears at times, that the U.N lives in it’s own bubble of diplomacy. They only forget that they are those who abuse their impotence to their favor (See Nazi Germany).

Though the Irani President might have wanted to kidnap the British soldiers as bargaining tools against the west, he had essentialy showed the true nature of Iran, as an aggressive country who’s motives are clearer than ever. The talks about nuclear energy for peaceful purposes now look ridiculous. And they are ridiculous.

The U.N had wanted to condemn the arrest of the British soldiers, but as expected, Russia and China did not support it, as they did not support the sanctions upon Iran, for their nuclear ambitions in the past. Russia, since the falling a part of communism, has started a massive sell of it’s technologies. The Arabs are one of its customers, so it does not come as a surprise. On the other hand, China, which sees itself as a natural ally of Russia, follows the same policy.

The last parade on T.V, when the British soldiers had to admit they have entered Iran’s territorial water, was absurd and only augmented the disgust the west has towards Iran.

This is good news to Israel, as we are struggling to show how dangerous Iran really is. I don’t think there are many countries out there who would stay calm when another country constantly threatens to destroy it, and in the same time, declares it wants nuclear capability for peaceful purposes.

Iran Tries To Blame Israel (again)

It appears that Iran has tried to put the blame on Israel again on the disappearance of a top Irani General. Who would want to defect from Iran? After all, they are a peaceful country where no harm would be done to you if you go against the government.

The latest speculation though is that the General has defected and now hides somewhere in Europe. In light of those recent developments, it always strikes me funny that Islam always takes the side of the alternative way of living in contrast to the west (mainly the US). Although the US way of living has its cons, I have yet to see people try to defect out of the country and thereafter fearing their lives. Until that happens, let me speculate that the Islam is very far from offering any alternative instead of hatred. Hatred sells too though, and that is why they have their followers.

Of course, the Arabic mantra says that whenever in doubt, blame the Mossad, Israel, Western Society etc. The media though speculate the Mossad is in charge in one way or the other. I have learned though that it is a code name for journalists saying “We have no clue what to put so let’s say the Mossad is in charge”.

If the US or Israel do have access to the Irani General, these are good news. He is the wet dream of all intelligence agencies and maybe he could shed more light in the REAL plans Iran has besides their ambition for Islam world domination.

Why I am Not Afraid Iran Will Bomb Us

Note: This blog is usually about financial speculation, but I want to discuss the idea of Iran developing a nuclear bomb and actually USING IT.

Living in Israel has it’s own peculiarities. One thing though remains always constant, and I am not talking about the high taxes! I am talking about the fact that at some given time interval, somebody wants to kill you. You might argue that this also occurs in your own country. Well, this is true but to a lesser extent as the magnitude in here.

I am not sure exactly what the Irani president has to do with us though. He says Israel is a threat to the world. He says the jews control the world. He says the Holocaust did not happen. I think deep down inside he doesn’t believe anything he says and I think he does that on purpose because a need to unify people behind him. What better way than anger towards the eternal enemy, the jews. The majority of the Islamic countries are poor and the general public is ignorant. They were raised on the notion to hate the west and Israel in particular. This is his chance to be the leader of Islam and show the west he is not afraid of them.

I am not an expert on nuclear technology but it does seem they strive to get nuclear capacitiy. The Iranis have stated it is for peaceful purposes. Now, if that doesn’t bring a big grin on your face, then I don’t know what will. The big puzzelle I don’t understand though, is why the Irani public doesn’t say to himself “We are a poor country, why doesn’t he use these resources to strengthen the Irani economy instead?”. Well it would actually be a lie to say I don’t understand. The Irani president blinds his public with promises of Islam world domination and the admiration of the whole world. They will all beg them he says to them.

All that being said, I don’t think that at the end, the Irani president will try to nuke us. He is not that stupid. He knows this is a red line he won’t dare to cross. Like I said before, I am not convinced he is a madman. But this doesn’t mean he can’t give the technology to terrorists who would use that as “dirty bombs” around the world. That’s a concern the world will have to take into consideration.

In the meantime, it seems Europe is taking a diplomatic stance, but I hope this is going to change when they will realize that the Irani president is making a mockery of Europe’s impotence to try to stop him.
